'Cats Win Wed, Jays Rally to Win Sun, Lakers Capture #1 Seed.

 (LINK TO FULL STORY) PL Lakers have captured the #1 Seed for MSHSL Section PLayoffs and will be hosting games in PL at Veterans field this week.  '09 Missota Conference Champs are currently ranked 11th in State AAA baseball on Maxpreps.  Should they advance they would HOST the Final 4 at the Vet in Prior Lake.

TOWNBALL UPDATES:

2008 MBA Class A Champion St Louis Park thumps the locals on Sat 5/16 by scores of 19-1 over the Mudcats and 17-11 over the Jays in non league exhibition action.

Sunday 5/17 the PL Jays posted leads of 1-0, and 4-1 while Arlington rallied to lock the score at 4 in the 8th.  Rich White ripped a double down the line and was knocked in by Tony Doherty to capure a hard fought 5-4 win in PL.  Kyle Zweber posted another strong outing for the Jays leaving in the 6th after yielding 1 run.  Travis Johnson threw 2 and Corey Goblirsch bagged the win throwing a scoreless 9th.  The Jays are now 3-0 in the RVL and 3-2 overall with their other loss at Burnsville 4-3 on Thursday 5/14. River Valley League (LEAGUE LINK) The Jays next scheduled action is Sunday 5/31 at Jordan 600PM in RVL action but there is potential a game or two may be added next week so CHECK BACK & Call the HOTLINE!

The Mudcats followed squaring  with the Shakopee Coyotes on a great Sunday afternoon and thumped the Coy 12-0 with Jake Schmidt again looking sharp on the hill.  The Mudcats keep pace in the Blue Division of the DRS with the win. Dakota Rice Scott League (LEAGUE LINK) The 'Cats are hosted Rosemount BlacksoxThursday 730PM at the Vet. Wednesday 730pm  The Mudcats fought for a 6-3 Win behind pitchers Mike B & Ben Mo and posted a win going error free in the field on a windy day at the Vet. The Mudcats next action will be in Belle Plaine facing the Tigers Friday at 730PM where it will be $1 Brew night in Tigertown.  The Cats will then return to League action in the DRS Sunday 2PM at St Patrick and Monday at home VS Union Hill for 200PM Divisional action.
