Down The Stretch for Townball, Big July Nights At Veterans Field in PL.

The Prior Lake Mudcats have started the stretch run of the regular season getting hot at the right time winning 5 of their last 7 games. They were dropped 3-2 to St Benedict 7/11 and 7-4 to defending MBA Class C Runner Up Waconia 7/18 in the July games. The Mudcats wrap up their home regular season schedule Thursday 7/19 when they host the Union Hill Bulldogs at 730PM. It will be a fun filled night celebrating the 2012 season as well be Prior Lake Chamber Of Commerce Ladies Night Out with Texas Pulled Pork and Root Beer floats as featured specials at the Vet Cafe’ in addition to the affordable regular menu options including cold drinks and the Tastiest Wiener in Scott County ™ and fan drawings for fan prizes. The Mudcats conclude the regular season Sunday 7/22 at Webster with a 200PM showdown with the Socks. The ‘Cats are locked into DRS playoff seeding facing the St Patrick Irish @ Veseli Tuesday 7/24 800PM in Game 1 (best of 3) then hosting Game 2 730PM Friday 7/27. Game 3 if needed would be at Bonin Field-St Patrick Sunday 7/29 200PM.

The Prior Lake Jays have dropped 3 of their last 4 games since the All Star Break splitting with Chaska in RVL East/Section3B action and dropping non leaguers to the Coon Rapids Redbird 3-0 7/12 and the PL Mudcats 9-4 on PL Townball Day 7/7. The Jays will host the Northwest Suburb (NWS) Redhawks in non league action Sunday 7/22 at 600PM. The game will be their annual cancer awareness fundraiser 2012 Pink Cure Day with proceeds donated in support of cancer research (FANS IN PINK OR Team Color RED Will receive $1 Admission). The game will also feature Caseys Sweet Corn Feast with Cal serving em up hot in addition to the standard fare of the Vet Cafe’. The Jays will host their annual Fan Appreciation Day game Tuesday 7/24 730PM hosting the American Pie Patriots and rolling out the Texas pulled pork for fans as well as having prize drawings to celebrate the 2012 season and RVL East Division Championship. The Jays conclude the regular season on the road at Elko 7/26 730PM and in Shakopee 7/29 600PM.

The Jays have locked #1 Seed in Section 3B playing a best of 5 series and will travel for Game 1 (due to State Legion hosted at other 3B sites) Thursday 8/2 730PM before hosting Games 2 (Sun 8/5 600PM) & 3(Tues 8/7 730pm). If needed they would play away 8/9 730PM and host 8/10 730PM. Should they advance the Jays would host the Section Seeding Game Sunday August 12 at Veterans Field of Memorial Park in Prior Lake VS.: Shakopee, Chaska or Victoria.
