The Jays traveled to Shakopee to face the Indians last eve. The Indians, fresh off of 2 big section wins over Green Isle and Jordan got clipped by our local 9 4-2. Jays rookie pitcher Chris “Swany” Swiatkiewicz got the nod on the hill and scattered 10 hits in the complete game win, his first as a Jay. The Jays stingy D completed several double plays and again was solid with key plays by Johnson, Geisler and Oldencamp who subbed in LF for Anderson and made a stab at a fly ball with Shako runners aboard to end an Indian threat. Travis Johnson also delivered key rips and scored a pivotal run with alert baserunning. The win is the first in Section seeding action where the Jays have dropped 3 losses by 4 runs and been blanked in 2 games vs. Jordan.
