Jays Wrap Season With Playoff Loss To Chaska

By PLB Admin

In a game that ended with the Jays being eliminated from Section 3B Playoff action, another season has come to an end.

The Jays were unsuccessful in their attempt to capture the Cubs and move forward into the second round of playoff action.

Wrangling only 4 hits, the Cubs beat the Jays by a score of 2-1.  The Jays had 8 hits but only scored a single run.  Additional attempts to score runners in the latter innings proved unsuccessful.

In the bottom of the ninth with runners on first and second, a ground ball hit up near the middle was sniped and a very, very close force play at second was made for the third out ending the Jays run.
