Lakers return for ’21. NEXT UP: Big Baller Saturday!
The 2021 Prior Lake Lakers High School baseball team from the daunting South Suburban Conference is hanging in the middle of the standings posting a 4-5 record in early season action on their return to the diamond. The Lakers posted consecutive wins in action this past week taking down Lakeville North 6-1 (Wed. 4/28) and grabbing a late lead on Eastview winning 4-3 (Thurs. 4/29) following a 5-1 loss at Lakeville South on Monday 4/26. The 2-1 SSC record this week follows 1-2 weekly records in weeks 1 & 2 with close & late losses as skipper Al Iverson (3rd season Head Coach) and staff evaluate players who have not worn the blue & gold since 2019 with and pandemic suspended 2020 MSHSL season. Scott Geisler returns as assistant to the Lakers staff as well Taylor Smith, both PL alumni and with the retirements of TJ Larson and Corey Goblirsch, joined by 1st year assistant Zach Horn who will work with Laker pitchers in 2021.
