MUDCATS PUT WOOD TO WEBSTER HIGHLIGHTS
The Prior Lake Mudcats entered thei Thursday 5/23 game as the best looking .500 team in the DRS at 2-2 but crept up in the standings with a 25-6 beatdown of the Webster Sox in 7 innings. After spotting the Sox 2 in the 1st inning on 3 hits, starting pitcher Ryan White dialed in for 3 scoreless and allowed 1 run in the 5th inning on a walk and 2 hits. Zac Lovera yielded 1 unearned run in 2 innings work and 1 hit in relief of White who bagged the win. The ‘Cats answered the Sox early 2-0 lead by answering with a 13 run barrage in the bottom of the 1st that scored the first 13 batters in order on 4 hits, 6 walks and 4 hits batters as well as 1 Webster error. Levi Schneider tallied 3 drillings with 6 total hit Mudcat batters. Casey Johnson scored 4 times on 3 hits and reached on balls twice in the high powered Mudcat attack which has tallied 40 runs in its past 2 victories.

Memorial Day-‘Cats Pound Shakopee Coyotes 14-4 (7) Hitting shoes were back in style with Tony Adderley propelling a 6 run 1st with a 3 run bomb with BJ Benz cruising on the hill. GAME RECAP JAYS HOST JORDAN BREWERS (FROM RVL RECAP):
The Jordan Brewers travelled to Veterans Field in Prior Lake for RVL Scott County showdown in misty Prior Lake Tuesday 5/21. The Jays posted a run in the 2nd inning on Scott Geislers drilling, hits by Kyle Zweber and Jim Schroeder and a RBI out by Nate Sickmann. Shortstop Corey Goblirsch scored following a leadoff double in the 3rd and was knocked in by Geisler. The Jays also scored thrice in the 6th on Goblirsch bases clearing double and posted and insurance run in the 8th on a RBI double by Joe Loftus. Kyle Zweber got the win on the hill yielding 1 unearned run in 7 innings with 6 hit, 1 walk and 5 strike outs. Nick Anderson got the save throwing 2 innings, allowing no hits and 1 earned run. Duevel tossed 4 2/3 and was tagged for the Brewer loss with Lee relieving. The Brewers had 6 hits with Joe Lucas 3-4 and both runs scored leading the charge and hits by Kalal, ageless Paul Buss and Todd Garnhardt. The PL Jays 12 hit swarm was led by Gobirsch 3-4, 2R, 3RBI, 2 doubles, Jim Schroeder 4-4 1 run, double, Joe Loftus 2-5, RBI, double as well Geisler, Reed Zweber and Kyle Zweber tallied hits in the Jays 6-2 win to push their RVL record to 3-0 for 2013.
