The Prior Lake Lakers American Legion team took it on the road for their 2006 opener in Waconia. Behind the crafy pitching of Ben Wartman, and solid performances at the plate by all of the team, but Lakers fought back in the 7th inning to earning their first victory of the season by a score of 9-6.
On Tuesday night, the Carver Black Sox traveled to Veterans Field for a showdown against the Prior Lake Jays. The Jays with a slow start (1-7), increased their record to 2-7 overall with a win over Carver by a score of 13-11. Excellent pitching behind Corey Lang, Adam “The Cooler” Cress, and Jake Kraemer, combined with impactful hitting by Cress and Jesse Scheidecker contributed to the Jays success in the game.
The Jays are at home this weekend as their participate in the Prior Lake Hardball Invitational. Their first game of the weekend will take place Friday night at 8:15 PM when they battle against St. Louis Park.
The Legion Lakers bring it home this Friday when they take on the Waterville Legion, 7:00 PM at Ponds 7 in Prior Lake.
