The Prior Lake Mariners spotted the Jordan Alers to a 2 run lead in the first inning and then came back to score a 5 – 2 win to solidify their hold on first place in the Division with a 3 – 1 record.

The Mariners managed 11 hits with Jim Lusk once again leading the way with a 3 for 3 performance. Joel Reed pitched 4 solid innings allowing the Alers 2 runs in the 1st on 3 hits that totaled 225 feet. Don Zeyen lofted a long double over the left fielders head late in the game to plate a couple of insurance runs.

Mike Fier made his initial appearance for the M's and it was a good one. He demonstrated excellent control, brought good “heat” and struck out 7 of the 9 batters he faced.
