Mudcats Spawn: Welcome new PLABA ballers:  Jacob Ronald Schliep 8pds 21 inch. 10/15 to Justin Schleip & Melissa as well as Curtis Schmidt born last month to Jake Schmidt & Holly!

Congrats to Casey Johnson on his recent wedding to longtime Mudcat Fan Julie.

Congratulations to PL Lakers Coach Darwin Busselman on his 10/27 induction to the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.  For information or tickets, contact John Wilkens the cost is $25, its on Saturday, October 27 at 7:00.  Call John for tickets;763-497-3072 or cell; 763-245-2137.  “Buff” was previously awarded the Dick Seibert award for his 400+ wins & 30+ year tenure as Prior Lake High School Head Baseball Coach.

Veterans Field has been discussed as a possible State American Legion Tournament site (Burnsville Hosting) as well as alternate for rain makeups for the MBA State Amatuer Tournament in 2008 (Shakopee & Chaska hosting, Norwood also possible “3rd Site” similar to 2007 when Green Isle served the function to keep Tourney on schedule).  More to follow in coming weeks as any confirmations become available.  This is a testament to the past efforts of PLABA and the City of Prior Lake Parks Department for continuing to develop and maintain “The Vet” to become the gem it is.

Former Jay Jake Kraemer named to All Tourney team in Class A with Commanding Edge should get shots on the hill for St Thomas next Spring and The 'Stoves sources report potential for Jake to get some swings with the Tommies based on a strong summer '07 for the Edge as they advanced to runner up to the powerful Minnetonka Millers.

Former Jay & Holy Angels Senior 3B Pitcher Joe Loftus has made a verbal committment to play Division I baseball at Vanderbilt University according to recent reports in the Savage Pacer and Charley Walters St Paul Pioneer Press Dispatch.
