Mudcats down previously unbeaten Savage 1-0

Mike Borgert-Poepping threw seven scoreless innings in keeping Savage down. Sean Greywitt pitched the last two for the save. The ‘Cats scored their lone run in the seventh on a lead off double by Ben Morrison. Morrison went to third on a ground out by Zach Lovera. After a strikeout for the second out, Andrew Gilkey delivered a line drive base hit to left center to score the run. Luke Thompson also had two hits for the Mudcats. This ended a five game skid. On Thursday night Jake Schmidt returns to the mound in league action against the Faribault Lakers at Veterans Field in Prior Lake. See you at the ballpark.
