Mudcats beat Union Hill 5-1
Ben Morrison was on his game Sunday as the Mudcats defeated the Union Hill Bulldogs 5-1. Morrison went the distance striking out eight and walking none while scattering seven hits. The Mudcats jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first when Casey Johnson led off with a Nick Reed walked, Noah Rezac was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Jake Lehrer singled in two runs. Tony Adderley followed with another two run single. Ryan Defries singled and Levi Schneider was hit by a pitch. The rally ended there but it was more than enough to put the Bulldogs away for the day. The Mudcats added a run in the sixth on a Sacrifice fly by Noah Rezac scoring Mason Holmquist.
