Former PL Jay Helps Lead Macalester Football To Historic Season
Prior Lake resident and Stewartville native Marshall Mullenbach helped lead the 2014 Macalester Scots football team to its best season in school history advancing to the NCAA Division 3 playoffs following a 9-1 regular season record and a Midwest Conference championship. The Scots were defeated in the 1st round of playoffs by defending D3 Champion UW Whitewater. Mullenbach completed his 5th season as defensive Coordinator and also serves as Recruiting Coordinator and was a 2003 Macalester graduate in Mathmatics & Education. Mullenbach was a pitcher/infielder with the Prior Lake Jays from 2007-2011 and PL Jays Golf Invitational Golf Tournament Champion team in 2012.

Townball Updates, Changes in B & C But State Tourney Format Remains
The MBA Executive Board met and has increased Class C roster size from 20 to 25 players. The other change of note to PL fans is the addition of the Mankato Twins (hiatus last season, re-forming) to Section 3B increasing the Section to 5 teams (Chaska, Shakopee, Mankato, PL Jays, Victoria). While the season and section format have yet to be ratified, the format for State Championships in both MBA B & C will remain unchanged in 2014 as a single elimination tournament. Watkins and Cold Spring are the hosts in 2015.

PLABA Elects 2015 Executive Board
The PLABA, which coordinates and manages operations of Veterans Field of Memorial Park between user teams has elected the Executive Board for the 2015 Season at its annual election 10/28/14. Mark Schroeder-President, Greg Faue-Vice President, Chuck Schoenrock-Treasury, Mike Keating-Secretary/Field Scheduling, Tex Chapman-Operations Director, Darwin Busselman, Greg Nesbitt, Leroy Bohnsack and newest member Sue Sticha-Special Projects. Stepping down and special thanks to Director Corey Goblirsch for his many terms of service to PLABA, he will continue as special advisor and coordinator of the PL Jays Golf Invitational.
