Johnson Continues With Hot Stick For Huskies

Outfielder Kyle Johnson continues to wield a hot stick for the Saint Cloud State Huskies (18-19 record) ranking 5th in overall batting on the team at .350 (28/80) with 25 RBI (3rd), 5 doubles and 2 homeruns.  Johnson also has just 1 error in 37 chances for a .973 fielding percentage. (4/24/05)  Kyle is in his 2nd year on the Huskie Varsity starting in 25 of the Huskies 37 games.

UMD Bulldog Doherty Cools After Hot Start

UM Duluth Outfielder Tony Doherty who posted a strong start as a Freshman has cooled as the Bulldogs (15-19 record) head down the stretch in the NCC.  Doherty has tallied 2 doubles, 2 homeruns and scored 11 times in his 42 AB.  He still ranks with team leaders with a perfect fielding percentage in 23 chances. Tschimperle Stings RCTC Yellowjacket Opponents

Pitcher Rob Tschimperle has fared well for Rochester Community Technical College (16-14 record) in recent action yielding just 2 runs on 4 hits in 2 recent outings.  Included was a 2 hit performance versus Riverland CC.  Results are unavailable from his start vs. Minnesota West CC on 4/23.  Coach Steve Hucke said “Rob has been doing pretty good for us” when asked to comment on his season thus far.  (4/21/05)

Evangels Hanson On The Shelf

Andy Hanson had gotten some early season chances with the Evangel Crusaders (21-25 record) but has not seen varsity action in some time.  It is likely he is seeing action on the JV but statistics are not posted.  Hanson has a varsity record of 1-2 in 3 starts and seen action in 5 games and faced 60 batters in 10 IP (4/23/05).

Busselman Hurls At Ridgewater CC

Paul Busselman is pitching for the perennial power in Upper Midwest juco baseball, the Ridgewater CC Warriors (25-4 record).  No information is available on his season thus far although the Warriors appear poised for yet another long run in the NJCAA playoffs. (4/27/05)
