Records Rewritten in 15th Opener

The Mudcats team offense was 22/43 (.512) with an .806 on base % should be team records as well as 71 plate appearances and 28 runs scored in a 7 inning game.  Mudcat pitchers Justin Schliep, Ryan White (W) and Jason Schliep combined to hold Webster to 1 hit facing 25 batters.  They struck out 7 and walked 4 Soxes batters.

Rezac Bounces Back

Noah Rezac suffered a devastating knee injury to sidelined him for most of the 2004.  He bounced back strong in his return batting 5/7(.714) scoring 5 runs playing 1B & RF.

Schmidts Bros. Bring Sticks

Brothers and longtime Mudcats Ben & Jake Schmidt were a combined 5/7 with 7 runs scored, 7 RBI, and 5 hit by pitch.  Ben Schmidt set a new Mudcat individual game record taking 4 for the team.

Who's NEXT?

The 'Cats (1-0) take on Montgomery at “Home Opener 2005” on Sunday May 1 at 2:00PM at “The Vet” in Prior Lake.  The Mallards (0-1) fell 7-1 to the St Patrick Irish (1-0) in week 1.  Fans are encouraged to wear team colors of Red,White and Blue and get out to celebrate the 1st home contest of 2005.  The Mudcats, who were spawned in 1991, are celebrating their 15th Season and will have lots of great special events throughout the year.  Manager Greg Faue and General Manager Tex Chapman remain the lone players participating from that '91 season.
