TOWNBALLERS IN SCOTT COUNTY ROLL OUT THE WELCOME MAT TO 2018 FANS!
Scott County Communities New Prague, Shakopee & Jordan serving as 3rd site will be hosting the 2018 Minnesota Baseball Association Class “B” & “C” Championships which commence August 16th. Come out and support the states finest of 2018 compete weekends culminating on Labor Day 2018 as Champions are crowned in MBA Class “B” & “C”. Host cities are selected through an evaluation of bids process years in advance and use the interim time to ramp up their facilities for teams and fans throughout the state of Minnesota. Host parks and cities will roll out the red carpet for townball fans and PLABA hopes fans will enjoy their experience in Scott County, the heart of Minnesota Baseball Country.
In addition to hosting, many area teams have qualified to represent their communities with Elko Express and Shakopee Indians in Class B as well New Prague, St, Patrick, Jordan, Belle Plaine and New Market in MBA Class “C”. Follow links below and follow a local 9, SUPPORT MBA TOWNBALL!

MORRISON & HOUSTON TO REPRESENT PL IN MBA “C”.
PL Mudcats Ben Morrison and Jonny Houston were drafted to represent Prior Lake Mudcats as pitchers for the St Patrick Irish and New Prague Orioles respectively. MBA Class C has a “draft” of members from defeated teams to pitch, but not hit, for their Tournament squads. Class B & A have no such rule in place currently. Both have been DRS League All Star selections and thrown many effective innings for the ‘Cats, Congratulations to them both and Good Luck in the Tournament in 2018. Fans are encouraged to get on their Mudcats colors in support of Ben & Jonny (also a certified Wienwater Engineer) as they represent PL hardball in coming weekends!

Mariners in chase for Class “A” Title.
Scott County Communities Prior Lake and Belle Plaine join nearby towns St Peter and LeSueur to host the 2018 Minnesota Senior Mens Amatuer Baseball Association over 35 State Championships. Each of the 4 sites will have a slate of games leading to the 2018 Championships in 4 classes. In 2018 The PLABA and Mariners dedicated a bench in honor of the late Jerry Maas and it is hoped for great weather and weekends cooperate that the Skipper would be proud to host teams and fans of MSM (Maas in HOF and former Executive Board Member)
The Mariners will be playing for a spot in Finals for Class “A” with 3rd place and Championship games to be hosted at Veterans Field of Memorial Park in Prior Lake Sunday August 26.
