Shimek Wraps Up Basketball Season at St. Thomas

The Jays own Joey Shimek and the St. Thomas Tommies wrapped up their season with a loss in the first round of the 2004 MIAC Playoffs.

Shimek, a pitcher and first baseman for the Prior Lake Jays is in his Sophomore year at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. 

A forward for the Tommies squad, he shot 3/10 with one assist, seven points and a free-throw.  In addition, he held inside earning four rebounds in his 38 minutes on the court.

The Tommies shot 50% overall in their 74-61 loss to Concordia College.
