Tex Chapman in the Run for '06 Twins Announcer Position

Prior Lake Baseball's very own Joseph “Tex” Chapman is in the running for a spot as the Minnesota Twins public address announcer replacing the late Bob Casey who passed away during the 2005 season.

Wild radio voice Bob Kurtz, who served as the Twins' public address announcer last season, remains in the mix to continue in that job in 2006. Patrick Klinger, Twins vice president of marketing, said the team is in the process of taking the 250 applications it received and getting it down to about 20. (Minneapolis Star Tribune – 11/11/05)
