The states finest Amatuer Baseball Teams convene in Hamburg & Norwood for the MBA Class B & C State Championships over the next 3 weekends and concluding Labor Day. 2006 Class C Champion Blue Earth returns to defend as do the Rochester Royals who captured the Class B title in '06. Both the Class C Prior Lake Mudcats and Class B Prior Lake Jays were eliminated in playoffs. Bret Mitchell from the PL Mudcats was drafted to pitch for Elko. Admission for the 2007 state tournaments in Hamburg and Norwood is $5 for adults and $3 for students (one game or all day).
