The Prior Lake Mudcats downed the Lonsdale Aces 6-2 on Sunday afternoon in Prior Lake, led partly by a strong pitching performance from Alex Wattermann.  Watterman, the Mudcats starter and winning pitcher, threw eight solid innings, allowing only two runs on five hits (one earned), walking two, and punching out 11 batters before Jonny Houston would step in to finish up the final frame.  Houston allowed one hit and struck out two others.

Houston was hot at the plate, too, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases.  Left fielder Harry Fleek was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.  Other RBIs came from Ryan Wattermann, Cole Bjorge, and Bear Blaney.

Daniel Turner would take the loss of the Aces, providing 5 1/3 innings of service and allowing four runs on six hits with no punchouts.

The Mudcats are back in action on Tuesday night when the Webster Sox come to town.  The first pitch at Veterans Field in Prior Lake is slated for 7:30 pm.  Then, on Wednesday, the Mudcats take it on the road and head over to Joe Schleper Stadium for a 7:30 pm tilt against the Shakopee Coyotes.  The regular season finale takes place Saturday, July 29th, at Bell Field in Faribault when the Mudcats face the Faribault Lakers.
