Mudcats blank Bulldogs for road win

The Mudcats bats were alive and well in Union Hill Friday night as they showed no mercy blanking the Bulldogs 9-0. Mudcats starting pitcher Ben Morrison went the distance throwing a four-hit complete game walking seven and striking out 10 batters. Morrison’s contributions didn’t end there as at the plate he was 2 for 4 scoring one run, two RBI, and two doubles.

Other notable contributors included Luke Weber (2 for 5 with 2 runs scored), Jonny Houston (3 for 5 with 3 runs scored), Jake Lehrer (2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI), BJ Benz (1 for 3 with 2 RBI), Jerad Lehrer (2 for 5 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI), and Justin Hackett (2 for 5 with 1 run scored).

The Mudcats continue their road series with their next match-up on Sunday, May 12th against the St. Benedict Saints. First pitch in St. Benedict is at 2:00 pm.
